Work update

After briefly working for a dance company in Playa del Carmen, I found a job that I absolutely love at Viva Wyndham Maya in Playacar. Doing animation, PLUS all the shows, is proving to be rather tiring for both my mind and body, however, the shows are fantastic, the people there are absolute champions, and the experience is as rewarding and character-building as ever.

I have the following shows to add to my repertoire:
*Latin Show- Cha-Cha Mambo, Kimbara, Salsa, Contemporary solo and trio.
*Hollywood Show- Austin Powers, Fame, The Wall, Chicago (Velma Kelly), and Grease (Sandy...again).
*Stars Show- Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera (Christina), Michael Jackson, J-Lo.
*Moulin Rouge
*Paillette- Motos, Pink Panther, and more...
*70's Show
*Las Vegas Show- Hey Big Spender, Cirque du Soleil, Elvis, Cher (as Cher), Riverdance.
*Madonna Show
*Full Moon Show

My new job is challenging my versatility, stamina, and my capacity for learning. In under two months, (2 or 3 repetitions of each show), I have learnt almost all the choreography and have mastered some incredibly fast costume and wig changes. I love my work at Viva! But mostly, I love the people with whom I am working. We are like a family, which is exactly what I need, being so far from home.

Hola! Welcome to my online CV.

I am a trained dancer from Melbourne, Australia, who has been living near Playa Del Carmen, Mexico since December 2011. As of today, (07/07/12), I have finished a dance contract with the Grand Sirenis Hotel, Riviera Maya, and am looking forward to new job prospects as a dancer and/or choreographer. Unfortunately, I had an unfortunate mishap with my beloved Macbook and a Mexican thunderstorm, and am now trying to piece together a new resume/CV to send to potential employers. I feel that, considering that I am constantly on the move, the most effective portrayal of my evolving skills and experiences will be in blog-form. Through this site, I plan to submit up-to-date photos, videos, and information from where I am, what I am doing/learning, and what I want to do next. To all my potential employers, I hope that you enjoy this refreshingly different, (or seemingly unorthodox), method of application. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or invitations for auditions, work opportunities, etc. I am open to any experience and will jump at the chance to try something new, anywhere in the world.

Thanks for coming!
I might just see you soon....
